“Effectively” is a whole other monster. People rarely make the choices themselves that will help them to learn more effectively. We humans are extremely bad at doing that.

I guess you are speaking with broad strokes. Some people are disciplined and/or have that drive to learn effectively and the byproduct of that is that they learn efficiently.

So, while we do pay attention to loud feedback, it doesn’t mean we will do what people ask for. But, hopefully, we can figure out why people want something, what their goals are, etc., then we can hopefully think of ways to do that more effectively than how they were doing it before.

The number of responses in this thread and particularly “Issues with the new UI for Level, Kanji, Radical, Vocab Pages” thread (for those that haven’t read it, please check it out here ) should be loud enough.

Every single change we make is met with a large number of people wanting the exact opposite of whatever we just did, even if it is putting something back the way it was after a change.

“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”

Let’s take a small survey:

• The large kanji tiles were easier to read compared to now
• The list view function was great for dictionary, new unlocks, etc
