I don’t know what happens to me, as soon as I start reviewing, I go full BERSERKER…
my fingers take a hold of me and I simply GOTTA GO FAST…
which causes some stupid mistakes, like, I just got a guru item wrong because I typed a space and a number for some reason…
Still did fairly well, 91% correct items in a 93 items review session from items learned on Sunday so I guess it’s okayish.

Ouch! Since the vocabulary is there to reinforce the kanji and their readings, it's like shooting yourself in the foot from both barrels.

Went from a zero queue to 218 reviews in the half hour I had between term exams. Haven’t gotten a percentage this bad in a while. Thought I’d care more.
Hard finals over, playing until dawn with friends, I can smell freedom and fried chicken (work in the morning though, buzzkill)

You are so right!
But I am going to Japan next July for a couple of weeks, so I figured I'll just go through levels as fast as I can, then catch up with vocab whenever I can and the SRS system will do the rest.
Besides if I take my time with vocab I'll be doing less than 2 levels per month (especially during semester) and I'll barely be even level 31 by the time of my trip and that's the level when the proper reading starts. It will be a few years before I can afford another trip to Japan, so I'll suck it up and do my lessons now...
