[STATS] Statistics site

I know there are some on gamefaqs. I will dig for a few more. If others have any suggestions or links I can run them thru my parser as well.

EDIT: I'm biased towards 16-bit RPGs, but here are a few more:

Great!  I'm starting to think we should start a thread, so more people will see it, where we gather game transcripts.  I was originally just thinking of doing aggregate statistics for games (and probably will still do that, too), but having a separate category on the stats site with a list of games would be an awesome tool for people wanting to choose a game appropriate for their WK level.  What do you think?
jjsdis said... I've just discovered the stats site. The ability to see which kanji are still apprentice, especially for my earlier levels, AND have a pop-up is totally awesome. This will allow me to zero in on my biggest problems and study them right then and there. This is going to make such a difference!

I am so grateful for you doing this at all, let alone your continuing support for the software.

Thank you
I'm glad you're finding it useful!
I haven't run any usage statistics on the site yet, but it seems the Items tab is becoming a favorite.  I always wanted that section to be the crown jewel of the site, but haven't had enough time to develop all the ideas I have for it.  The time-space continuum needs a pause button :-/

 YES PLEASE

You will get my firstborn if you pull that one off, rfindley.

Game kanji comparison list would be the best feature ever!!!

This sounds wonderfully useful. I'm still getting familiar with the forums but I'd love to get that going for you. (Would that also belong in the API/Third-Party category?) I'll have a bit of time later in the week to parse a few more transcriptions, but If there's anything else I can do to help you with this please let me know.

Hmm... maybe a "Kanji and Japanese" or "Campfire" thread called "Game transcripts", since it would also be great to have a general thread for sharing game transcripts.
I'd create it myself, but it would be better if the list was maintained by a game enthusiast... and only the thread creator can update the top post.

Thanks! I will run those through soon. (The ones with kanji at least.) There are some good titles there.
I've posted a thread as well so hopefully we can get more games.

Why it sometimes when i level up, the graph shows that i’m still on previous level and the time on previous level keeps increasing, while showing zero on current level (a whole day has passed since leveling up). This is the second time it’s happened. The last time at some point it was immediately corrected and time on the current level went from zero to 1 day+, while time one the previous level had decreased by the same amount.

Fixed: Forced Refresh FTW)

I just leveled up to level 41 yesterday, but the timeline says that I just leveled up (i.e. 0 days, 0 hours, and 0 minutes ago). It is constantly increasing my time in level 40 and not moving over to adding time to level 41. Refreshing the page does not seem to work. If anyone has any idea on how to fix this, it would be most appreciated! Thanks!

Although the stats site can see that you have leveled up, it doesn't know when you leveled up until WK starts providing some timestamps for certain events.  Specifically, the timestamp of when lessons are completed.  That's the usual cause for what you're seeing, so if that's what's happening in your case, it will correct itself automatically after you do some lessons.  Although time is currently being counted on your prior level, it will be subtracted back out again once the data becomes available.

Thanks so much for this site!

I check it almost everyday! Probably too much…

Its really motivating!

本当にありがとうございます!!

That makes sense, but I am actually pretty far along in my lessons. I just got the radicals to the 3rd tier of apprentice and I am still having this issue. Should I just ignore this level and see what happens when I level up to 42?

Now that I'm back at my PC (was on tablet), I've loaded up your data, and it looks fine to me (1 day 13hrs on level 41).  Under the user menu on the site, try the Force Refresh link.  Not ideal, but it's there to solve exactly this sort of mysterious problem :-/

I’ve just entered level 46 and it’s not a fast level, so I think you should  make a change.

Thanks!  Would you be willing to email me as you progress through the final levels, and tell me which ones are/aren't fast? If so, be sure to confirm that you don't have any non-Guru'd radicals from prior levels that are holding back the locked kanji.
