Starting Over - Maddy's study log

It’s been a while! As I thought might happen, I got overloaded with my final year of school, and just did not have time for WK. But I’ve graduated and ready to lock in on my Jap journey.

I have decided to restart my WK journey fresh and wipe my progress back to level 1 - I think it’s the best option to get my brain refreshed. It also means I should be able to fly through the first few levels again.

Unfortunate News

I was actually meant to be in Japan as I am writing this, however, about 12 hours before my flight my friend bailed on the trip, which we’ve had planned since April this year.
So I had to cancel flights and not go as some accommodation was under her name, and I didn’t have time to change things. I’ve had major disappointment and sadness, but I am going to use that as motivation to up my Japanese before I return.
Which if things go to plan should be in May.

The Plan

I have graduated now, and am on the job hunt.
This could definitely change how I learn depending on the hours I get, but I am hoping to do WK daily. This also gives me much more mental space to learn, as I am not overwhelmed with schoolwork anymore. So hopefully, I am able to do things on top of WK to further my skills.

Goals

For 2025, I am not currently setting any major goals, however I will update this if I decide to! I’m going to take it easy and just have a cruisy learning process.

I’m sorry your trip to Japan was canceled, but I’m glad that you’ve managed to use it as a motivation for studying Japanese. That’s the spirit! love2
Hopefully, another trip would happen soon and by that time your Japanese would become much better!

Best of luck with your studies! wricat

That’s what I’m hoping! I’ve been looking at flights already today in between applying for jobs and might have found a good time to go :eyes:
