Hi I have just started taking wanikani. I’m doing radicals right now.
Do I need to do anything to get new radicals and then kanji/vocab, or will it begin to add new things for me?
Right now it just keeps having me review the first group of radicals over and over. Do they need to reach burned level or do I need to do something like add more levels?

You will get Kanji when you Guru’d the radicals.

Welcome!
You need to bring your radicals (and later your kanji) to Guru level before more material unlocks. That takes about 2-3 days in the beginning, 3 days 10 hours for later levels. For more information, the FAQ and the guide are very interesting reads!
Thank you! ok so I dont have to do anything, just take the reviews as they send them and it will automatically add new stuff to learn.

Yes, it takes a while for first kanji, and then vocabulary, to ramp up, but once they do, you’ll be kept quite busy. You don’t need to do anything besides be patient and do your reviews (and eventually lessons) when they’re available.
