I have no idea how I was able to type this, but obviously I knew how to say it.
Another one is when you mistype furigana. for example: you get 親しい and type したし. It’s obvious you forgot the い, but you forgot to type it. But you knew how to read the word which is most important.
This is just my feedback and maybe there are reasons not to implement this, but I wanted to help my fellow students.
This is a tricky one. Gray shake does catch and warn on certain common mistakes like the double-n, but what it warns about is up to content team. They decide when a straight-up wrong answer is too harsh and decide to give a warning, so it can’t be implemented for all typos. Still, I passed on the suggestion about じお->じょ. That could merit a warning, or it could just need to stay a mistake you get a wrong answer for. We’ll let you know when they have a response!
Oh and kana that come after kanji in words is called okurigana.
And what do they call it when you dredge up the correct reading for the kanji from somewhere and are so smugly pleased you forget to type in the okurigana? I know what I’m calling it, but if there’s a proper name, it might turn the local air a little less blue.
I hope by the time I get to your level it will all be a distant memory.
So, it should be -しい okurigana warned, also interspersing ones if exist.
iirc, typo-checking was implemented before, but retreated because there is no way to answer random Kana for I don’t know, that is, no i-don’t-know hotkey.
Other than that, I am not sure about other rule-based obvious typos.
very annoying and easy to fix. You could use the same method as typos in English. Then you get “Your answer was a bit off”. I think it should do the same here as well.
