There are a few issues.
Firstly, it’s unnecessary to use 私 at all. If you really need to specify, like if your sword somehow needs to be distinguished from some other sword which you are not good at using, you can, but it’s not natural in normal circumstances.
Second, 大した doesn’t mean large. You would need 大きい.
Next, this verb for use is a bit technical and formal. 使う is more appropriate.
The verb phrase needs to be turned into a noun in order to connect with 上手. You would do that with の and then use が.
Lastly, when talking about yourself, 得意 (とくい) is preferable to 上手. It basically means the same thing, but 上手 sounds braggy I guess.
です is only needed if the situation calls for politeness, such as if the listener is older, a stranger, a respected person, etc. If not, dropping です would be fine.
大きい刀を使うのが得意です。
