Finished Chapter 38 of デスノート 
From today I’m making the decision to do 10 lesson a day on WaniKani instead of 15, and I’m also halving the amount of cards I do on Anki. The reason being, I’m spending too much time on SRS, and because of that I lack the motivation to do actual reading, which I feel like is more imporant than memorizing a bunch of characters that will be meaningless to me if I don’t actually use them. Also, I was really pushing myself with WaniKani for the past month, and now the reviews are coming back with a vengeance. Whoops.

Hardly any time to read today, just one short chapter from 事情を知らない転校生がグイグイくる! and a little Aokana.
Some days I can read for hours, other days I have just a few minutes. The important thing is to read every day!

I read more Konosuba vol.1. The part was funny, when Aqua was sitting in a cage being surrounded by alligators. The alligators trying to bite through the steel bars.

Started reading 鋼の錬金術師 6 today, and read the first chapter.

Read one chapter of 葬送のフリーレン today, and finished volume 4.

Started reading からかい上手の 元 高木さん 3 and read 3 chapters, and also read the final chapter of ふたつのスピカ 1.
March 9th!
I read 6 chapter of 絶対に風呂に入りたくない彼女VS絶対に風呂に入れたい彼氏 1 today, and finished the volume. It was cute, but I kind of wish I could see more of the characters relationship than just the bath-related parts.

I’m guessing you know the offshoot club is on volume 9? Though you’ll probably find it too slow given the pace you’re going.

I’ve seen them before, but thanks for the reminder - need to use them more if there’s something that gets me a bit confused. I only have 2 or 3 things going at any one time though so sticking to the club pace completely is too slow probably.

- Finished まおゆう魔王勇者1, a very tough read at my level. Back on the backburner until I level up to it.
- Needed an ‘easy’ read so continuing 焼いてるふたり. Funnily enough because they’re camping, a lot of Yuru Camp vocab was applicable…
Going to be a long day at work… well, a long week at work… zzz
/edit interesting thing about maoyuu i should mention: after every chapter there’s a multi-page lecture about whatever relevent historical facts were in the last chapter. I don’t bother reading them because lol rn but the last one was titled “The role of the church and religious orders” (though the last chapter has multiple lectures at the back). It’ll be fun once I’m able to more easily read these. I mean, the easiest way to read them would be to read them english, obviously, but still.

Read this week’s assigned reading, plus previous weeks’, plus next week’s.
Rereading previous sections each week, makes the reading experience feel more fluid - more like reading in English, less like reading with constant look-ups. I don’t do this for everything I read in Japanese but I figured I could try out this method with Bookclub books.

Home Post – 3月9日
I didn’t read a lot yesterday, because I spent some time playing go - my old hobby that became all interesting again. I need to be careful to not get carried away. On the bright side, I now can watch videos about go in Japanese and pretend I’m practicing both (de facto - both not very good).

I liked the chapter very much! It looks like I’m getting closer to more event-heavy part of the arch 
But… I need to catch up with 風立ちぬ, so I’ll stop reading 薬屋 for a short while =(

Look how few books I’ve got on my reading shelf! It looks sparse… better change that.
Finally actually got through last week’s 風立ちぬ. There were some bits I had to go back and reread through a couple of times. It’s so good, though.
I also started one of my new books, すべてがFになる. It looked like the kind of thing I was looking for, and so far I like it. It seems very very approachable and bingeable (and long). Maybe it picks up in difficulty a bit though later. I’ll see how it goes over the next few days.
Unsure about when I’m going to get around to 本好き. I might just bench it for a while properly and then come back to it with proper commitment at some time later on. I just don’t really feel like pushing myself through until I like it at the moment, even though I know that probably would happen if I committed to it.
Not so much reading overall. Tomorrow is likely to be a good day for reading, though. Probably won’t do this week’s 風立ちぬ quite yet, I’ll leave it for later in the week. I might try to just get through a solid chunk of すべてがFになる until I get more accustomed to it.

March 10th - Home post
Luckily I had more time to read today than I did yesterday! One chapter from 事情を知らない転校生がグイグイくる, this week’s reading from ルックバック and a few pages from 徒然日和.
And now back to my dear VN Aokana! I found a playthrough of it on Youtube yesterday. Steam says that I have played Aokana for 17 hours, and looking at the playthrough, I’m on video 4 of 39. Which should mean that I have played about 10% of Aokana, and have about 150 hours left… Did I mention that this is a long, long, loooong VN? 
I do enjoy reading it though!

Another day another read :>
I’m getting slightly ever used to reading in the LN format, which is in the vertical format.
There’s a LOT of words and stuff, but I notice that overall, I understand structures of senteces and the overall meanings. Simply need to expand my vocabulary, but that’s why mining is also great, I’m sure this will be very useful for me by the end of the LN, curious where I’ll be in terms of vocabulary! probably a lot more
