So overall pretty good last week. I had a flight on Sunday and work schedule hasn’t been too bad.

I’m nearly caught up with manga clubs. I haven’t started Nana and I’m only partway through last week’s ふたつのスピカ, but that was a deliberate choice as I’ll aim to read 2 week’s worth at once for those.

I also made decent progress catching up with 明日の世界で星は煌めく, and that’ll be my other thing to work on this week.

Dictionary wise, I’ve fallen slightly more behind with the advanced volume, so I’m now a full week behind. Need to work on this! I’ve also made no progress towards finishing the appendices for the intermediate volume.

I’ve decided not to formally drop the other books I’m behind on - I think all the clubs are finished, so I’ll aim to read them during the spring equinox challenge, and drop the, if I don’t progress then.

  • COMPLETED 逆転裁判1!!! (The DS version this time, with the additional case). I was right on the verge of breaking the bad guy apparently when I left off, and once I got through that the momentum carried me all the way to the end. What a rush.

    As I mentioned above, Case 5 is a bit less tight logic-wise than the rest of one (not helped by being in Japanese so I miss more nuances than usual), which was a bit of a pain in terms of satisfyingly solving bits of logic. But it’s still a great case and it was great fun to revisit.

  • Steady progress on まおゆう. Surprisingly the main difficulty is actually the word lookups - the actual way things are worded is fairly straightforward, it’s just you need to look up terms like ‘three field crop rotation’ or ‘total assets’ all the time (not to mention the basic words I still don’t have internalised). So yeah, still far above my level for enjoyable reading, but it’s good to know where I stand.

  • A before-bed chapter of よつばと！

I’m going to take the weekend off to play games and internalise a few more terms from 逆転 to my SRS. Then next… I think it’s time for 猫猫!

Ngl, Main character of 泣きたい私は猫をかぶる is freaky as hell :sob: she wont stop teasing this 日の出 guy, an to give an example, and I quote " ただ、このさわぎで、ちらっとこっちをふりかえった日ひ之の出での肩かたごしの視し線せんが、これまた色いろ気けと色いろ気けと色いろ気けをかねそなえていたので、よしとしよう" this is too funny, I find it amusing as hell.
I also read a little bit of ruri dragon, just to not feel like I neglect other stuff by focusing on the LN.

Manga reading today too, one chapter of ふらいんぐうぃっち 7 to finish the volume. Plus quite a bit of textbook reading. I prefer manga and VNs, but I do realize that textbooks are useful too!

Another novel in the books, and another 2 volumes of ホリミヤ finished. Good good good.
Tomorrow I’ll actually finish off last week’s 風立ちぬ (at the 15th time of asking).
List is basically almost cleared now! Need to decide which other novel to start next. I’m thinking something long and not overly difficult.
