I’m several days late, but I just wanted to come by to say that I read something in Japanese every single day in July!! I honestly don’t know how I did it! Some days I could only manage a short reading that took me 5 minutes to read, and read after midnight, but it still counts!

some of everything. i think i’m through the lore dump section in deer king for now, but it’s still quite hard going. the island of missing trees on the other hand is going pretty well. i don’t think the blurb accurately describes what kind of book it is (it makes it sound a lot more straightforward) but that’s not a bad thing! not for me, anyway

At one point i went to the library to read as i like the atmosphere and it helps me focus. The only thing was that the next chapter in the manga was set in an underwear store trying on underwear so that was something. 
Ive also started reading the second volume of ケサラン and it’s really cute easy reading. Read 2 chapters in 16 minutes so not bad at all!

- Finished off Frieren 9, hard yakka but I made it. Wasn’t quite in the I-need-to-pick-up-the-next-volume range right away (need a break) but it’s getting smoother.
- Felt like reading something easy but not quite before-bed-no-lookups easy so picked up Nagatoro 2 which is very readable. Sure hope the main character gets less mean!!! she’s very mean!!!
