Read quite a lot of non-fiction book, not a ton of novel. It’s quite a short one, not hard to get through, written in pretty easy language. Tomorrow will get a new book out from library probably - maybe back to コーヒーが series for book 5?
Finished Chapter 26, Chapter 27, Chapter 28, Chapter 29, Chapter 30, and Chapter 31 of Mirai Nikki
Skipped 2 days of reading. The day before yesterday I had an absolutely horrendous headache, and after I came back from work, I only managed to muster some strength to do WK and went to bed. As for yesterday, I have no excuse I wanted to read, but I just didn’t. So, to make up for that, I decided to read a lot today. I basically did the Readathon challenge again.

I want to finish this. I want to know that “It’s you” comes from the book, which I’m honestly not sure about at this point. But I’m so tired, and NWN2/D&D keeps consuming me. (4,441 words of finished fic in less than a week? wtf. What is this. And then I finally managed to finish an older one today, although too late to post until tomorrow, so that number will actually be higher.)
Also the love quadrangle shit came up earlier in ch 10 than I was expecting…
“葉菜子の恋” Shallow attraction to someone’s face isn’t love!! “恋” my fat behind. Ugh.

Navigation 27 ヴェネシィアンガラス Have decided to try rereading ARIA chapters (for study and review purposes) so instead of reading 2 new chapters today, I read 1 new chapter and yesterday’s chapter.
Good reading today, started earlier on and finished earlier, which I’ve been wanting to do.
Finished book! Lost track yet again of how many I’ve finished this challenge (intentional humble brag) so need to clean up home post. I think 15 or 16 or something. This one was alright but very prescriptivist in its moral outlook, felt like reading The Alchemist again (not necessarily in a good way). Still, better than cat book. I think this is one of those easy, popular, simple subject matter, quite short books which are probably quite good for early novel reading for language learners, and given how popular it is here in Japan, I’m surprised it hasn’t had more people reading it from here or natively. It’s weird how natively and book clubs and stuff all kind of push people towards a certain set of early books - it makes sense, but still.
Also made a dent in start of kofi book. Same as ever, unsurprisingly. It feels like the text is slightly smaller in this one but I think I’m just going crazy. It’s like 280 pages total, which at reading pace of this will be like 5 - 5.5 hours from this point pg.40 to the finish. So maybe I’ll try to finish it off before the end of the challenge to finish off the challenge on a high, given I’ll take a bit of a break for at least a few weeks from daily posting here.
Need to get around to last volume of 片隅 manga which I need to return to library and haven’t got around to starting yet… That, finish non-fiction book and get through kofi book are main goals of the next few days I think.
