I didn’t read for 2 days, because I discovered an amazing Japanese Minecraft YouTube series by ぴろぴと and binge-watched 68 episodes. Would highly recommend for any beginner trying to practice their listening

Been meaning to get back onto the reading thread train for awhile but not really had anything to read. The big chunk book should keep me reading for awhile though 
Onto the reading!
April 26th
(since I read at night and type up in the morning I’ll put the date down as the night before)
Up to page 24, so 12-14 pages read
I completely forgot how to read 巡る, I knew what it meant but just couldn’t remember how to read it, even though I’ve seen it quite a bit, the reading is めぐる. I’ll probably forget that again soon.
On the other hand I did remember how to read 閻魔王 (えんまおう) and 阿弥陀仏 (あみだぶつ) despite very rarely seeing them, it’s weird how reading memory works.

i think all i read in jp was this automaton article? i was busy with other things today. wait no i watched some of the story for ffxii, about half of which was unvoiced, that counts right? in eng reading, i’ve offiicially made it just over the halfway point of priory

Yeah, discourse changed the emoji style, it’s not the same as before TuT I remember it happened in the middle of the winter challenge with the rabbit in it

Read for almost an hour today. Plot is getting ridiculous.
Well I finished Another. It was just alright, which is probably why I didn’t remember much of the anime from when I watched it a few years back, though now my memories have been jogged. The manga art is pretty though.
The execution was kinda meh to me but I liked the idea (spoilers for the whole series): The class from 26years ago refusing to believe a classmate had died and pretending they were still there broke reality and caused a dead person to join the class every year as the Extra. No one would know who it was because reality glossed over memories and records, but it upset the balance and nature is trying to reclaim that person by killing them…but also doesn’t know which person in Class 3-3 it is either so people keep dying until the Extra is killed. To try and avoid this happening the class designates someone as the いない人 to try and fake balance, but it only kind of works as ignoring an entire existence is hard. Incidently no one told this to the new transfer student and now people are dying. Also it turns out the Extra dying in ANY way was all that was needed to stop the curse for that year, and when the class learns about this–you guessed it!–even more people die. Oh and this year’s いない人 has special powers to see death and knew who the Extra was all along but since no one knew the Extra dying would fix things (memories seems to fade after graduating) and this person was being ignored, nothing comes of it until like half the class is dead.
Well onto Ranma!
