one chapter of isekai and that’s about it. one thing the manga did was that the forest the protag finds himself in at the start is mostly normal (murderous slimes aside) but in the novel the tree trunks are see-through. i can see why you would make that decision from an artist’s perspective but it’s a shame to miss out on the strange, glass-like trunks imo.
also i finished she who became the sun, loved it just as much as i did the first time through. some late-book stuff hits extra hard when you know it’s coming. on to the sequel! i’ve got 11 days left on my library loan, that should be plenty of time.

today’s nhk article was x.
i didn’t realise this got an anime adaptation or an english manga release! it didn’t seem like the kind that would so i assumed. that was silly of me
i see it’s on crunchyroll so i’ll add it to my watch later! i really like the art in the manga so hopefully some of that expression comes across
it’s hard but if you’ve already seen the anime you’re probably in a better place to approach it than i was when i started! just be prepared for irregular (but understandable) readings of words you already know and lots of look-ups for the ones you don’t.
