It’s taking me a while to read Underground, because I checkout every city, every station, every prefecture that are mentioned online. My way of traveling to Japan
Also it’s pretty dark (read at your own risk: description of real people dying), so happy to have ISLAND to play after that.
Today’s reading was chapter 2 of くまクマ熊ベアー - in a hammock, in the shade, at the cabin. I love when I can study and relax and enjoy myself, all at the same time!
Fantastically concise . I’m currently struggling with the hiragana spelling of most words in the Dr Slump manga, and this is another good example. I think I would have probably guessed the meaning of 人熱れ (pronunciation is another matter ).
Two chapters of 四つ子. These kids books are like building up my faith in myself again lol even though I’m still looking up a truly ridiculous amount of words all the time
Haven’t updated for a while but since then I’ve finished all of Dragon Ball and have now read the first 22 volumes of Gantz. It’s a higher level of language than DB but more than doable at this level. These days, if you cant read a kanji its so easy to just take a screenshot on the phone and look it up quickly due to modern OCR being so good.I have also gotten quite good at looking up kanji by radical in the dictionary app I use so my reading isn’t too interrupted either way. The easier it gets the more enjoyable it is to read so it definitely creates a positive feedback loop.
Another chapter of 四つ子, might read another today as this one was fairly short.
Casually reading 擬似ハーレム6 to finish off the series. Still think this manga is a bit more difficult than rated due to the phraseology, but the amount of words is quite low and I think I understand this latest one a bit easier than usual.
Hello, Im starting this challenge very late but I hope I’m still welcome. Got back in to learning a couple of weeks ago and have been having so much fun reading again, so I thought it might be nice to join in.
Goal: to read a page or more everyday and hopefully finish 老女的少女ひなたちゃん 1 this month.
My new job means I’m going to be keeping slightly odd hours in the future - I’m working for a company in a different time zone to me and my working hours will be Evening/Night so reading after work will mean reading after midnight.
Because of this I’m going to be defining a day as the period of time between me waking up, and me going to sleep rather than considering a day a failure if I don’t read before midnight.
This is what I do because I do shift work. Eg last week I did a couple of night shifts. What I read on the nights counted as the previous day. I also often finish around midnight and read to decompress when I get home.
I’m probably starting an offshoot club for the series soon. There wasn’t a lot of interest so I’ll put up a thread for volume 2 and see how we go. Due to being in multiple clubs, I’m planning to have a break of 2-3 weeks before I start. So feel free to join us!
I’ve been busy, but tearing through 四つ子1. I think this is about my perfect level right now which is fantastic. Still loads and loads of lookups but whatever. Instant lookups with ttsu are such a godsend, I really do need to test mokuro processing at some point.
