Same!! I had a problem last year where I was trying to translate a pun and first I struggled with localizing it, and then I struggled with how to convey it in writing.
Ended up realizing that wordpress does in fact support ruby text, so I used furigana in English to make the pun clear to my translation blog's readers, haha.

It’s been quite a busy week at work, so some days I didn’t have much time to read (and would just go to bed too exhausted to do so). But I started とんがり this weekend, which is nice. I also started the final chapter of アステリズムに花束を 百合SFアンソロジー. I’m halfway through this week’s part and not really hooked on the story so far, but hopefully it will get more interesting soon.

Words of the day
- 付き纏う = to follow around; to be dogged by; to be continuously troubled by
- 閑話休題 = back to subject at hand. 閑話 is 無駄話. 休題 is 話を止める.
- 接ぎ穂 = something to keep conversation going; (plant bud) grafting into 台木. The action is 接ぎ木.
- The verb 接ぐ is 繋ぎ合わせる. Somewhat like 継ぐ or 次ぐ.
- 印税 = royalty fee, for the author of a published book
- 廃屋 = dilapidated house
- 人心地が付く = to feel relieved after getting through troubles
- 行きつけ = one’s regular (favorite) place/destination

Okay this past week got away from me a little bit. But today I’m playing a game I’ve already played in English, in Japanese! It’s a relaxing bartending game where you listen to people talk and you mix drinks for them. Lots of text and no time limits, so it’s perfect for me to slowly look up words if I have to. The font is a little wonky at times too because of the old game style they’re going for, which is good font practice! Lots of combining kanji I already know to make new words.

Week 3 update 
Even if it was not a lot, I actually read every day this week, and finally managed to get through 1900+ reviews to get to level 14.
I have also tried Satori Reader. I had already read some positive comments here on WK about it, so I knew it had a good reputation, but I didn’t expect it to be that great. It’s literally the best reading application I’ve ever seen. It makes things so much easier, so much less intimidating. I love the fact that the definitions are in relation with the text, and the presence of additional explications. There seems to be a lot of content too, I’m still on a free account but I will probably take a subscription.
