  • モラトリアム(.) = moratorium; temporary postponement, of social responsibility
  • リストラ(.) = restructuring; corporate downsizing; laying off
  • 歓談(かんだん) = pleasant chat
  • 世知辛(せちがら)い = difficult (world to live in)
  • 分裂症(ぶんれつしょう) = schizophrenia. Newer term is 統合失調症(とうごうしっちょうしょう).
  • テンパる = to be at wit’s end. 聴牌(てんぱい), but almost.
