Today was a manga day for reading, as I read the latest week’s BBC and also finished out volume 4 of bone dragon. I bought all 5 volumes there are before starting volume 2, wasn’t sure if it was in progress or concluded, but the teaser at the start of this volume implies that probably volume 5 is the last one.

Free Tadoku Books - Level 2 | 6 |
Level 2 graded readers have been either just right or a bit too difficult in terms of difficulty. The grammar is easy, it’s just I sometimes don’t know the vocab, even with the pictures. I always understand the gist of what’s happening and I really enjoy reading them.
There’s not many level 2 readers and I don’t think it’s a good idea for me to go to level 3 after I finish reading the current ones. Hopefully I can find some free graded readers elsewhere on the internet.
I am thinking of buying a physical book or several, which I would LOVE to own. Two have caught my eye: “Japanese folktales for language learners” and “Japanese stories for language learners.” I’m really interested in folk tales so I’m very curious! Has anybody tried these or could recommend any others?
Edit: oops, I included a source I meant to use for my listening challenge!

1 chapter dungeon meshi … An extra long chapter … The last chapter, as it happened! Just an omake to go (i normally skip them but this final one is formatted more like a short chapter, so i will give it a go).

Read the prologue before falling asleep last night. Things are getting exciting! If not for being super sleepy after a long day I’d probably read some more. I guess I’m blessed in that regard. My body tells me when it’s time to sleep and makes me doze off

Today I started my next novel and read chapter 1 of the 本好きの下剋上 part 4 junior novel. Probably this is going to be my main reading material for November, with occasional breaks for some other items, so let’s see how it goes.
Today was Frieda’s introduction, and this volume is already looking up from the last one so far.
