I wanted to get a little ahead on the next IBC book, to make sure I won’t fall behind. I have gotten too far ahead, because I am enjoying the book. That doesn’t seem to be in the spirit of the book club, so I should take a break and read news articles instead.
But it’s really exciting to find an author whose work I enjoy! This is one of my main struggles in reading Japanese fiction. When I’m having to work hard at reading, if I don’t thoroughly enjoy the book I start to get crabby real quick.
