Just a tiny read on the train back home.
I know right, most people are used to the fact that adults of age 40+ (age-related farsightedness) need reading glasses for reading, so taking off oneβs glasses sounds like it would have the opposite effect. But for those who are nearsighted like us, our eyes already have too much βplusβ power which functions as reading glasses on their own and thatβs why we need minus power to correct our distance vision.
(Currently in my second week of internship as a third year optometry student and trying to explain things in layman terms is almost like learning a new language, no joke.)
