TLDR; You’re not the only one who knows they won’t make it, but 頑張ろう!

Similar boat. I can’t access WaniKani during work time for the most part. I joined the group to help me stay motivated though even as I get super busy between a full time job, part time college, and the struggle of Japanese being my third language. I’ve reset myself twice before from bad burnout. Now I’m just taking it slow, accepting I won’t get those super fast levels others do, and enjoying the journey far more.

Leveled to 14 (yay!) with my first 7 day, 0 hour level in a while! I get the feeling that slowing down is in my future, but might as well celebrate while I can.

Level 14 was a bit of a mess on the scoreboard, so I cleaned fixed it up :hammer: while I was there. I wanted to use a broom or something there but somehow I couldn’t find any cleaning-related emoji…

Team 空! :space_invader: :night_with_stars: I still haven’t decided the appropriate iconography here

phew, just made it to 13, but I’m slowing down a bit, this one almost took me 11 days.

I’m about to head out on vacation as well, doing this on my phone is going to be pretty painful, but stopping for 10 days doesn’t seem like a good idea either.

Go team 地! :deciduous_tree::earth_asia::seedling::evergreen_tree:

Hopefully I can raise my leveling speed and reach lvl 60!

Congrats on the level up!

Vacation + phone, yikes! Maybe you could stop doing lessons (even before you go) and just do the reviews that come up while you’re away? (Or, since you just leveled up, you could just do the radical lessons, since their “cards” only have one side, so their reviews are less typing.) Will you have no computer, or just no wi-fi? If it’s the latter and you have mobile hot-spot, this can be a good use for it.

I have wifi, and I haven’t decided if I should bring my laptop. I probably will though, as it would allow me to do wanikani

Interestingly enough, I recently learned we’re not supposed to capitalize months in Spanish either. It’s one of those subtle differences between languages that really don’t make that much of a difference (I think), but one still has to be careful of.

Standard reminder:
We’re getting closer to the point of no return date and you would need to go full-speed (that’s a level per week) to make it by the current goal.
You’re welcome to join the Olympians, but I suggest you to check our sister threads as well:

That said, Team Fire welcomes you. You’ve made a wise choice

I meant the rate at which the speaker talks. Ghost reviews? I’m not sure. The app isn’t too stable on android but I’m impressed by the content so far.
