When the advanced options for lesson batches and ordering were implemented I didn’t think they would affect my WK use much - I’m a very vanilla user who doesn’t use scripts or anything. But I quickly found that controlling lesson batch size and the interleaving system were actually very helpful. I was doing 10 lessons a day up to level 20, then I slowed down to 5 and later 3 a day due to a reduction in my available study time.
Completely happy with my progress, but I’ve run into an unintended consequence.
I should have predicted it, but when you use ‘interleaving’ of lessons with a low daily lesson number, you complete levels without doing all the vocabulary items and you slowly build up a backlog. This is actually why I gave up using the ordering scripts on a previous iteration.
No harm done, I will turn off Interleaving for a while so I can catch up on vocab, then consider turn it back on as it did seem to help with my learning.
