My friends mom found this on a teacup in her basement, can anyone recognize the second character?

not even entirely sure it is a character haha but maybe it’s just really stylized and someone can recognize it?

Could be this one 合, stylized between semicolons.

合 is a traditional unit of measurement so combined with 九 it could be that it is representing how much content the teacup can hold.

Or ofcourse what @Jakkumaru said.
