I missed out of three months of Wani Kani because I get tired, sick, and distracted.
I didn’t use Holiday mode at the time, and I sure as heck didn’t even try to tackle any of my reviews. I just watched each day as my phone notified me about more and more being added to the pile.
When I finally felt ready to come back, I had a problem. 200+ reviews, and over 100+ levels (not the worse build up out there, but daunting.)
So I started slowly, spending an evening trying to pick up my review again.
Here’s the thing that I didn’t think of. Once you start again, the reviews continue to add up. Ooooh boy. I had 300+ reviews after being lazy for two days.
So much for dipping my toe in.
Time to be brave and tackle things properly.
I spent the same evening going through each and every review. I was tired, my memory sucked, and my progress went backwards. BUT! By the end of the night, my review pile was 0 at last. 0!!! I had done it, I had finally beat the pile.
The lessons could wait, I spent the next two days working on my reivews and trying to remember everything I had forgot.
After about 4 days, I was ready to start tackling my lesson pile.
Suddenly, two weeks later I have levelled up, reached 0/0 and am waiting impatiently for my reviews every hour.
I know it sucks when this piles up, but I promise, it can be battled, defeated, and start sticking in your head again! So to anyone like me, who got stuck and was too scared to come back, face those fears! It’s amazing to rejoin the community!!
