I’ve known this verb for a long time, but only just received the vocab lesson tonight. In my head there has always been a mnemonic that just seems like a no-brainer, like it’s baked into the word.
You are searching for something so hard, and for so long, that your search turns into a saga. Sorry, but I’ll be opting for that one, rather than thinking about sagging skin. 
I do really like the kanji meaning mnemonic though. I hope to find that humble stool one day.
