Make your heart race - tokidoki suru?

A few times recently I thought I heard “tokidoki suru” in anime I’ve been watching. From the context the meaning seemed to be “make your heart race” or “pounding heart” (someone’s reacting to being kissed!) Am I misshearing this? I thought tokidoki meant “sometimes” and I can’t find this usage in the dictionary (nor something that sounds similar). My listening skills are crap so most likely something else but can’t work out what.

Thanks

It’s どきどき, the onomatopoiea of a heart beating fast. :slightly_smiling_face:

ドキドキワクワク!!! you can use both words to say that you are super duper exited about something

Tokidoki or ときどき or 時々 means “sometimes.” It’s not a する verb though so you’re definitely hearing ドキドキ instead, which is dokidoki not tokidoki.
