I’ve suddenly found myself with a very long commute meaning this is the perfect excuse to train my very rusty listening skills. I’m mainly interested in STEM/IT things or things explained in a very STEM way, but my listening is at a low enough level that I’m not too picky about starting lower and more general. I used to listen to the various howstuffworks podcasts way back in the late 2000s when I was in late middle/early high school, so something like the early techstuff howstuffworks podcast but in Japanese would probably be ideal.

I’m not sure that’s what you’re looking for (not really IT, but kind of STEM)… but you can find generic interesting science-related videos in Japanese here. They also have subtitles that aren’t auto-generated, which might help you if it’s above your level of listening.
I’m a big fan of the Rebuild podcast which I mentioned here:
It’s not STEM, but it covers IT and related topics.
It’s also in The Ultimate Additional Japanese Resources List! (under Podcasts).

Perfect! This should cover me for at least two years if not more!
