Inverse of yesterday, stopping listening early because I’ve got 40 pages of novel to finish before bed
Today’s podcast - talking about 修学旅行 moving locations due to overtourism. Personally I’d take Shikoku over Kyoto in a heart-beat.
Also related - today I was talking to 2 coworkers about the upcoming 修学旅行. One coworker who always talks to me in English translated it as a “school excursion” to which the other one was looking confused and repeating the word excursion to himself, so I said “excursionは遠出だよ” which everyone found quite funny

Forgot to log the last two days. Today I’ve been listening to this guy…
… but can barely understand him.
It feels like he’s not even speaking Japanese half the time. Is it the pitch accent? The speed? The pronunciation???

Update: I’m starting to get Kanae abstinences 
From day one of current challenge I’ve avoided youtube, twitch and twitter (I use twitter only to follow Kanae fan community). There’s a GTA streamer event going on (Madtown) that he’s participating in (I’m pretty sure) and I’m feeling like I’m missing out. It’s not fomo, it’s more like delayed reward frustrations. I’ll probably watch vods later when I allow myself to watch Kanae again.

I considered watching an episode of the 無馬が街にいた頃 series, but that’s treading on the line what goes for avoiding Kanae and especially youtube in general. I’m scared of being sucked in by youtube. Before you know it, the whole evening will have passed by.

More about GTA streamer event and why I'm not following this time
I took screenshot sept 30th of Kanae retweeting this
Comments were like “oh shii, gotta quit my job”
They did Madtown event in June and I spent entire evenings trying to catch up on live streams. Needless to say, that doesn’t leave much time for reading
And since I want to focus more on reading, I decided this time it’s best I don’t watch Kanae live streams for a while. Maybe if there are shorter edits/vods, I can watch. As long as those are more around an hour long and not 5h
