So does kamesame only start quizzing you on them once you’ve reached master? Maybe that would be more manageable. I tried it for a little while but I had it set up to quiz on all Guru+ and just found it overwhelming but maybe I should add it back in. 
I have the same trepidation with iTalki, and also know it’s silly! I’m starting a local Japanese class (though due to covid it will be online) in January and hoping that that will build my confidence a bit and help me feel brave enough to maybe try iTalki lessons after that as not being the only beginner seems less scary (though I know will be less effective than 1 on 1)

Hi Sycamore, You can set it up to only offer items you have mastered from WaniKani. You can even set it to only items that are Enlightened or Burned as well. It updates from WK once a day, and it will only add new Master items to your review queue if you decide to start studying them.

And thanks! I reset Kamesame to go with master + rather than guru+ and while there is a hefty pile of lessons to get through I can already see that some vocab that I thought I ‘knew’ from being able to recognise on WK I maybe don’t so much… so will be worth trying to keep up I think

When I discovered that I decided that I needed to do recognition and production for all vocabulary. I think you’ll find it more manageable at the Master level!

Lessons aren’t bad actually because I was able to clear all vocab lessons before lvl 8
So I started with around 100 and after radicals it’s even less.

Woohoo, managed to hit level10, my goal is to hit the painful levels before 2021. Considering how slow the levels feel, I’m surprised I made it to level 10 so fast!
Congratulations to @Faolon, @Jobis, @lkhayden, @sycamore, @techneko, @trombonekun91 and @Sharp_Spoon for reaching levels 7 and 8, we’re a force to be reckoned with!
Remember to keep doing your reviews every day and get some lessons in now and again and in a couple of months, you’ll be shocked at your progress!

woohoo, congrats to all! and well done @TheAncient for getting to level 10 by the end of the year! I had originally thinking that might be my goal too but I’m thinking now that I will need to take a little bit more time with level 8 to reduce my apprentice count a bit and give a bit more time for grammar and ハイキュー vocab (so many sports words…) Still, moving forward even more slowly is still moving
