Yesterday I used KW on my WP8.1 phone with the Edge browser and and noticed that the IME is ignoring the first letter. I remember that this issue was discussed somewhere. If I type "hyaku" the IME shows "やく", for the correct "ひゃく" I need to type "hhyaku". This happened with every word. It is manageable, but pretty annoying.
Can you try the same input here on your phone, and let us know if you get the same issue? http://wanakana.com/
I’ve tried unsuccessfully to reproduce the problem on a browser emulator with several Lumia models running 8.1 and IE. Unfortunately, without an actual phone to test, this might be out of scope for me to fix since it seems to be inherent to wanakana.
My deepest apologies, if there’s a japanese IME available for your phone maybe give that a go since it might not have the same input problem (and it’s good practice too).
An extra IME might be a good idea. I will see if I can get something that is convenient when it comes to change between romaji and kana. I think it is hard to reproduce, as the issue is not always there, but seems to have another variable that is unclear (to me at least). Thanks for the effort though, normally you get “don’t use a windows phone” as a reply for technical issues.

So in the spirit of adding more checks on data ingestion to prevent bugs, I introduced a bug. A fix was just pushed now. Go ahead and give it a shot
I’ve said it before, and I will say it again. I absolutely love this site. I have gotten used to a bunch of scripts on wanikani so there are a few things that I miss when I use kaniwani. So I’d like to put in a feature request. I’ve thought about asking in the original thread of the script I’m looking for, but it appears that the dev is no longer maintaining it and it’s being maintained by Mempo (looks like he maintains a lot of abandoned scripts). The script I’m looking for is called anki mode. It basically emulates anki, which allows you to press “space” to show the answer, and if you knew the answer you press “1”, and if you didn’t know the answer, you press"2". This speeds up the review process a lot, and seeing as I now review on wanikani AND on kaniwani, it takes up a good chunk of my time. I’m on 500+ reviews now on kaniwani, so this feature would be really nice. (I get if this is not planned, or possible, just thought I would try my luck)
Now I’m not all that tech savvy, so I’m not sure if it’s easier for you to implement a feature like this using the script’s code, or if it is easier for a dev of a script to add your website to the list of sites it runs on. Anyway, please let me know your thoughts. (I might post a similar request in the other script thread if it turns out I should ask there instead :P)
