でも、描いてばかりいたい。

To help me study for the JLPT, I’m going to try to write sentences with new grammar points and also randomly chosen old points. We’ll see how cohesive I can keep these.

Now I am about to study Japanese again.
Sometimes it’s hard to become proactive.
〜がる is a grammar point for suggesting that another person appears to have some status or emotion. You wouldn’t use it for yourself. I know you used “seem” in the English version, but that’s not how it works with the Japanese.

I see, thanks! How can I fix it to be compatible with ばかり? It takes the て form right so I wouldn’t be able to just change it to たい right?
昨日はレベル２６に上がりました。もうすぐレベル３１になって地獄に入いる、ワクワクします。
ばかり needs て before it and いる after, so 描いてばかりいたい would be okay, I would say.

Thank you! This makes a lot more sense and I didn’t know about this expression so that’s good to know to add to my vocabulary.
If you wanted to include the feeling of “seems like” couldn’t you say

I might be wrong here, but I think it should be 日本語を勉強しよう, because it’s 勉強する. Unless, it’s a different structure I’m not familiar with.
車は近々直すがお金をたくさんかかります。
