Winter/christmas song

Sorry but i have no notes for this song but just to say that I really like the old Japanese song choice for December 3rd with the fake snow and everything. For some reason gives an even more Christmas festive feeling

Kanji writing

I like writing with three pens but the brush tip is a bit strange to write with (third row). I’m left handed so I think i probably need to find someone who does calligraphy with their left hand to see how they do it.

Some vocab/phrases I was drawn to from my japanese dictionary:

  • 及ばない 「およばない」unnecessary, unattainable
  • 及第 「きゅうだい」passing the exam, making the grade
  • 及びもつかない「およびもつかない」far beyond one’s power, no match for
Origami

This was a bit easier than day 2 although I did accidentally make some folds cause I assumed the next steps.

Only one new vocab for today: 開きます 「ひらきます」undo, open. Lady kept saying it a few times. Although I’ve learned the kanji for open before, I hadn’t learned it used in this context to unfold. Please correct me if I misheard!

I love the paper that you’ve been using for your origami projects @omk3 and @Twelvewishes. I may do another Daiso run for that cause I only have plain ones.

In case anybody has leads on left handed calligraphy videos, please let me know! Or even just any tips on using a brush pen if you’re left handed yourself.
