Duh, kanji are easier to read upside down ![]()
Actually, Death is hilariousā¦
I just learned the reading for å¢, and I think itās got to be my favorite mnemonic yet ![]()
My favourite so far has been å°»
āSiri⦠help! Iāve been foolish!ā
they could have put some effort into disambiguation, by choosing unique main definitions. urge, urge, pure, pure, employment, employment, it gets a bit old at times. maybe iām just ranting because lvl 27/28/29 have been particularly hard on me. i didnāt notice any of this earlier, or didnāt pay attention.
No, it definitely got worse that way mid-way through the 20ās. Itās still pretty bad.
I really wish WK went into the nuances of the words a little more. āUsed in this context, not that context,ā āpolite word / formal word / informal word / common word / writing onlyā etc.
yeah, that would be helpful. same for kanji, maybe a little extra note during the lessons or so.
My default go-to is jisho.org and stop there, but since most of WKās synonyms and definitions come from jisho to begin with and not all words have examples or go into great detail (jisho is really terse), itās really not the best for explanations. What has been more effective for me to get a hold of a wordās actual nuances and usage is to check out linguee.com and compare the usage in the example sentences to the synonyms given.
trust me it gets worse
Im done with how many kanji/vocab meaning āclearā are out there.
Itās better for you if you start taking some time to look for the nuances yourself and add them as synonyms
which game is that?
bummer. thanks for letting me know, so iām prepared.
on my desktop, i have the script āvocab beyondā, so i can scroll through a list of vocab that contains the kanji. if that doesnāt help, i check out WWWJDIC on my phone.
itās not even that much work, but it sure adds up.
I think I have too much Random Access, I need some Explicit Access.
When you first learn to read hiragana its fun. I always say, āyea I can read Japanese⦠I just donāt know what I am saying.ā
