So there are five stages a review item can be in in Wanikani: Apprentice, Guru, Master, Enlightened and Burned.
There is a legend that back in the olden days, priests would burn turtle shells in hot fire, and the cracks would show the symbols that were messages from the gods, symbols that later became kanji.
That’s what that’s referring to

If you’re as quick as possible, the time between learning an item and burning it as about 180 days or 6 months

Next and only review set in the coming two weeks will be in 5 days, and will be 5 items
It’s all so spread out that even though I have 60 items remaining, I will only be done mid June if all goes well

Since April 29th last year, a lot of content was added over a long time, but before that added content was quite rare for a few years.

We should start a petition for them to not add anything at least until you burn everything. You’ll have your screenshot and after that it won’t matter

I mean if they want to add content they can go ahead, I don’t really mind, not really 
But it would be fun if they weren’t planning on adding anything till July anyway.
