Is KaniWani working?

Anyone know what’s up w/ KaniWani? It seems to be not picking up my new stuff, and now it won’t let me do reviews at all…

Is this taking into account the delay in pulling new vocab from WK?

Really? I have just used it two hours ago and it was just working fine :thinking:

If you’re new to KaniWani, you may have missed that you have to go into the Vocabulary tab and unlock the words by level, or switch on the “follow WaniKani” tab in Settings. That’s what my problem was when I first started, but I don’t wanna assume that’s what’s up with you. Otherwise, I don’t know.

I just logged in to KaniWani and it seems that my API was invalid. I had to re-copy my API (version 1) to get it working again. Maybe you could try that.

It is indeed weird. I don’t remember having changed/re-generated my APIv1. Also, other services that use my APIv1 (including the old wkstats) still work.

I lost my password and tried to reset but no email came. Can’t figure out how to contact anyone.

Hey we recently made an update that changed the reset urls.
It should have been fixed when you tried this though.
Can you try again? It’s worth trying in an incognito/private browsing session to ensure you get the latest version of the site. I just did that and was able to reset my password.

If you enter an email that is not registered, you won’t receive feedback that it doesn’t exist - standard security practice. So double-check you’ve entered the right email.

If all else fails, DM @Tadgh11 with your usernames/emails and he might be able to track down the correct one for you.
