I'm joining team undo

FTFY
Almost anyone can do it.

Maybe a user only has access to a school laptop and the school prohibits the installation of browser plugins that can rewrite web pages? No greasemonkey, no userscripts. Heck I’ve been on school networks that block GitHub. If you are blocking GitHub, you are likely also blocking greasyfork. Not beyond the realm of possibility that these users exist.

Edit: @wct lol, we were composing the same response at the same time.

Get the portable version of a browser and install it that way. That’s what I do.

I team where I joined without knowing

The thing is, that feels dangerously close to a DIY but with a subscription…

I’m overall very satisfied with Wanikani, and not having an undo button won’t change that, but I wish they would work in these features that would make study easier

Where are the instructions to install superscripts on iOS (iPhone or iPad)? You can use third party apps (like Tsurukame) but if they do not include already the script you want you can never install it. You cannot install superscripts on iOS, but please do tell me how to do it since “everyone can install scripts”…

If you can find me the person who has zero access to a computer and zero access to a smart phone, but still has access to vanilla wanikani then I’d gladly change my comment.

Not sure what you are talking about. iPhone IS a smartphone. Millions of people have an iPhone, and many use them to do their WaniKani reviews. All these people have access to vanilla Wanikani but cannot in any way install any userscript. They can use third party apps that include some scripts (whatever the developer decided to include), but can’t arbitrarily install a script of their choosing. For example if someone likes Omega they can’t have it. It is as simple as that. They can however use vanilla Wanikani without any issue.

Yeah, i agree that expecting people to come up with an even-so-slightly non-vanilla setup is not optimal.

@WaniTsunami it’s not about how easy is it to install userscripts, but how easy it is to reproduce the same setup on N different platforms.

I think WaniKani would profit from having a “danger zone” set of options.

It would be nice and a simple fix. I agree there.

My work computer doesn’t allow the running of any executables without permission from the IT department. And even if I somehow did, it would be a violation of policy and I would get fired, or at least severely reprimanded for it.

Scripts are absolutely not something that everyone can use.

But again that’s at work. Not at home and in those cases you can use apps with the same add-ons on your phone.

Can you? I’d love to know what add-ons can be used on Apple, the only app I know of is Tsurukame and it doesn’t support adding scripts or anything :disappointed_relieved: I only use wanikani on computer when I’m at work so it’s rough out here lol

I believe firefox supports add ons and that has tamper monkey. However I don’t know if the iOS version does. But you can try.

I do. It doesn’t. You cannot install userscripts on any browser on iOS. Installing FireFox or Chrome won’t make any difference, you still can’t install userscripts. Since you (for your own admission) do not know, maybe you should refrain from stating with arrogant certainty that “everybody can install scripts”. Not everybody can.

Where there’s a will there’s a way.
