I NEED WaniKani users to compete with me!

I don’t know why, but I didn’t receive a message about you.

I simply clicked on refresh button and then a message popped up.

I don’t know; that’s odd…

My level-up was only at 2022-06-27T21:48:00Z so maybe you last loaded the page before the script realized there was a level-up to show a message for?

maybe, I refreshed on 7:15 pm

Add @anon56844372 - level one forever as a reminder of where you started :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

UTC-3? Is that Canada or South America?

P.S. Get the Heatmap userscript; having a streak to maintain might help prevent you from leaving this time…

@neilalexander Welcome to the Community; feel free to stay! Even the free levels will help your Japanese journey, if only to make you more comfortable with 漢字

Hence the competition? Makes sense. I hope you can stick around this time; we’d love to have you!

As for your residence, that would explain the timezone! (I’m in Dallas so you don’t see UTC-3, which is currently the same as your Fortaleza time zone, here often.) That’s pretty neat!

I hear Brazil has the highest Japanese population outside of Japan, so I guess you’ll have no problem finding people to practice with if you want!

This is true, there are a lot of japanese people in Brazil, but unfornately they are concetrated on the south part of Brazil, like in Sao Paulo and Paraná.

I live in the northeastern part of Brazil, it’s such a big country

Yeah, that makes sense! I even think my home state of Texas is big, and Brazil is almost as big as the entirety of the United States!

Yeah, Brazil is 8.51 million km² large and the United States is 9.37 million km² large, the difference is not high.

…and actually flips the other way by approximately the same difference when you take out Alaska
