How to Create Your Level 60 Post?

Hey, I was just wondering how to go about making the big Level 60 post that I see so many of. Of course I’m not anywhere near level 60 yet, but it would be nice to know any tips and strategies you guys have so I know what to look out for during my WaniKani progression. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I didn’t think about it until I got to level 60. I just made it up as I went along and based it on what I had seen before.

Don’t worry about it too much, Denji-san.

I mean, the first thing to understand is that a lot of people don’t make them and they’re not really required.

I think at this point they are pretty…ahem…overdone, so trying to find something new that no one else has said before can be a bit tough. If you wanna make one just to make one, write whatever you wanna write. I mean, mine was just a parody post My biggest realization after hitting level 60

Besides, if you actually have some something you think is worth sharing about your journey, you don’t need to wait till 60.

Thanks a lot! I’ll try to follow both of your guys’s advice.

I wrote a lvl 60 post because I wanted to not because I had to…
There’s no template and frankly I wouldn’t want to read any of the lvl 60 posts if all of them just used the same template.

By the time you reach lvl 60 you may have some thoughts about using WK and learning Japanese in general. So just share them with the community (if you want to). Otherwise, no need to write a post.

hihi, I thought this was your level 60 post  Suitably meta title, right?

So when you get to level sixty, maybe you can remember this post and use the same title, or just edit this if you make it within a year since the last post!

No template at all. In fact I didn’t think about it until I hit Lv60. But there were some things I wanted to share once I did. I’ve seen people before saying that these posts are quite helpful, and reading about people’s struggles through learning Japanese can always be handy, so I shared some thoughts.

But there are a lot of posts that are just a few words and that’s it, as a ritual to give WK an official “end”. Everyone shares what they want to share, or nothiing at all. I’m sure many people don’t even use the forums.

You will definitely notice things you like and you don’t like throughout your journey that will come to mind once you start making that post.

How couldn’t it be
WaniMekani update where every post turns into a rickroll when?

I just posted whatever I felt was important to a beginner, and then I just posted a few screenshots of the standard stuff because that’s apparently what people want to see (juicy juicy stats and stuff) (x)

To get back to the original question: The first step is usually reaching level 60

I gotta admit, it’s kinda cool having so many people from level 60 replying to my first actual post. And all your ideas are really good too. Thanks!

Step one: Reach level 60
Step two: Press “New Topic”
Step three: ???
Step four: … Profit?

I didn’t write one because I had no answer to your question .

It’s probably best to just write about whatever you feel like once you’re gotten there. You can always keep it short and sweet as lots of people do. So, there is definitely no requirement to write an essay about why you study Japanese. Share only what you feel like sharing.

Looking forward to it! XD
