6 more days until departure to Moominvalley

I’ve divided up the book into a schedule, let me know if you have any concerns. There’s an awkward leap from 12 pages to 20 pages from week 11-12 but I was trying to divide up the chapters so we end cleanly on chapter breaks because I hate reading half of one chapter and then half of the next.

Sounds reasonable to me. Use your best judgement, basically. At the end of the day, we’re going to have some fun, we’re going to learn stuff and if we have to go back and re-read it later, so be it.

I already anticipate that I’ll get a lot more from a re-reading in a few months, given where my Japanese practice is right now.

Yeah, it’s also totally fine if the schedule is a bit much for some people and they choose to read at a slower pace. The first time I tried reading a children’s novel with a club I got behind and finished some weeks after the end of the club, took a couple more tries before I could actually keep up the pace :joy: The threads will still be there and I’m happy for people to comment at any time.

明日出発だ ワクワク

I just came in at the right time to tag along! 楽しみにしています。

You can put the knife away now, because week 1 is here!

What will Moomin and Sniff do in the sea? Find out in week 2!

Week 4 is here!

Its only tangentially related, but I couldn’t resist to finally take a picture for the moomin exhibition advertisment today on the way home from work. Every time I escalate (can you make escalator into a verb?) next to it, I think of this club.

So jealous. I want to go to the moomin exhibition too. :crying_cat:

Well good news it’s been verlängert bis July

Week 5 is here, just in time to read some pages for the readathon

Never fear, week 6 is here!

I’m really gonna catch up next week, but for the timing being I wanted to share this amazing video essay with you:

Continue the adventure in week 7!

The story continues in week 8:

Week 10!
