Thanks for keeping us on schedule soggy! I have to say I was slightly happy to draw things to a close. This has been a lovely intro to Moomin valley though.

It was a cosy conclusion. I didn’t quite have the stamina after I finished to read the note to Japanese readers but it was fun that they included one.

I need to go watch a video on how Moomins became so popular in Japan now.

I finished the book on Friday! A little late but I enjoyed it

Thoughts

The end countdown was stressing me OUT
When they were running on the sand, and it felt like a nightmare where no matter how much you run you don’t move. That’s so true!!

We all knew the comet probably wouldn’t destroy the world, BUT the characters thought it was going to! And even so, they were so chill about everything :joy: it was killing me haha. They thought Sniff would have DIED if he didn’t get back to the cave in time, but instead Moomin mama is just like “ahhh what a cute kitty! I have a present for you” instead of “OH MY GOD SNIFF YOU ALMOST DIED AND ALMOST TOOK MY SON WITH YOU” hahahaha

But Sniff sleeping with the kitty was really cute, and the last artwork of the comet before it hit was really prettyyyy
