when you linked here from “Buying too many books” i expected this to be a larger thread, lol
i’m not haunted by book clubs… yet, anyway
i was going to join theカードキャプターさくら book club until i realised there was absolutely no way i could restrict myself to reading, what, a page a day?
they’re going to be starting book 5 soon, and i’m going on to book 3 of the clear card arc (so book 15)
they started in december, i started in june (well, one day in may, too)
so yea 
i’m doing all i can to resist reading more than one chapter a day
but hey, maybe i’ll try to join clubs for harder books and end up falling behind
then again, i don’t know that i’ll be investing in a whole other series for a while, lol

I participated in one book club and have blissfully ignored the rest.
I have another book club elsewhere that’s much smaller (everyone in intermediate is in the one club as there aren’t enough members for multiple concurrent clubs). And when I tried to join a WK club, I didn’t leave my other one, and realized two clubs was too much for me while also doing my rather packed study workload.
So I’m happily neglecting the clubs here until I get to a point where two (intermediate+) clubs at the same time is manageable. Someday I’ll be haunted but that day is not today.

One of the possible solutions is to stack up your book clubs (so they can haunt you later!).
You can participate in, let’s say, 7 clubs, then basically you’ll have to read one chapter a day in a week. It’s about 1-1,5 volumes a week.
Or you can join intermediate clubs too, they read faster. Twin spica is only level 24 for example.
