Hey all,

Posting here in case it is useful for anyone. I’ve written some python scripts that use the WaniKani API to generate Anki decks for drilling meaning → word and audio → meaning based on your current wanikani progress. I found that the 2k/6k decks didn’t really work for me because I was learning words I hadn’t yet encountered in wanikani, which is currently my main driver for learning vocabulary.

Haven’t tried your code, but I like the idea!

I love WaniKani so far, but I also feel like listening skills are not practiced much here. So “audio → meaning” quiz sounds like great idea, although not sure how to deal with different vocabs with the same readings…
