Hello Everyone!

Quick update on my plans for my next magazine projects!

Things I’ve Already Started

  • Grand Jump
    • Continue to post about each new issue, including my thoughts on manga I’m caught up on, along with posts about the new manga that debut in it!
    • If I choose another manga to catchup on and spotlight, I’ll do that, but it will be at my own pace/whims
    • These will all be posted in this thread
  • Harta
    • Catch up on the series I want to, listed in this post
    • Continue from Harta 76 going through each issue one by one
    • All of these will be posted in the Harta thread

Next Magazines

So after much deliberation, I’ve decided on the next two magazines for me to read and post about on this thread! They are: good! Afternoon and Afternoon!

So, I have a different plan for each magazine, which is based on the manga I want to read in it. For good! Afternoon, I will be catching up on only four or so different manga, and then starting from issue 2023 vol. 12. I’m already caught up on one series, and will catch up to the others primarily in English.

I can probably be finished with good! Afternoon by the end of January or so! It will be much faster than Grand Jump I think. When I officially start posting about it after the holidays, I’ll edit the top posts to include more information and tracking for those when I get there!

After good! Afternoon, I’ll be working on Afternoon. It will take much longer, because there are sooooooooooooooooooo many amazing series that look right up my alley! Afternoon might be the most SeanBones magazine out there tbh. Thats why I want to start with good! Afternoon to get it out of the way, because I know Afternoon will take me months or so to get through.

The manga I am aiming to catch up on, just like how I caught up on Grand Jump, are the following! (These are from my excel sheet tracking all of this so forgive me if the names aren’t accurate, they are mostly there for me to remember!)

    • Drifting Dragons (Currently Reading)
    • Magus of the Library (Owned)
    • Snake Road (Short)
    • Maybe Witchcraft Works?(since WCW Extra is being published here, but might skip this too)

  • Afternoon

    • Blue Period (Caught up and one of my favorite manga ever)
    • Tengoku (apparently super amazing???)
    • Hellhound
    • Chaos Game
    • Medalist (Spooooorrrtttttsssssss manga that is also art manga?? Yes yes yes! I’m still waiting for Yuri on Ice so please have this fill that void!)
    • Skip and Loafer (My students say this anime is really really cute? Also there is a book club?)
    • Medium (Oh hey there is a book club for the novel isn’t there?)
    • Vinland Saga (One of the greatest seinen manga of all time, I’ve read some but not all)
    • Jigoku no Ashita
    • Wave
    • Kingdom of Quartz
    • Blade of the Immortal Sequel (Eh, maybe. I’ll save it for last since there would be sooooooo much to get through)
    • Issak (Historical war manga!)
    • Tengu’s Kitchen (New drama of this coming out?)
    • Motorbike (Sports sports sports!)
    • Houseki no Kuni (Such a beautiful anime omg)

As you can see, Afternoon’s manga lineup is ULTRA STACKED AND AMAZING!!!

As for my other projects, I’ll be posting/gathering interest in the Classic Manga Club in January, since so many are busy for the holidays. I’ll also be hosting the next thread of the Nozaki-kun on the 8th of next month. Great time if you want to jump in, since it requires next to no previous knowledge.
