Game is good too =)
And have no issues with katakana and loan words, reminds me I should play Pokemon sun, I’m planing on doing it in Japanese, I’m doing Moon in English first but not finished it yet
Edit; I had a nother read through the comments to put all suggestions up on a list, and realized I misunderstood your comment; I thought you meant you where playing a Japanese game. I now see it is a manga named New Game, lol! Well, it was very late and I was tiered =P
Edit 2: Googled it.
That sounds… too familiar O_o
I’ve seen some episodes of the anime! =D
All manga is easy once you get past your first 10 volumes. I would personally recommend Qualia the Purple since its really interesting and not too hard to read besides some science-y terminology. Besides that, just read anything that you think would be fun, since picking out “easy” manga to read is just a slog and a waste of time since you’ll just put it off if its not interesting to you.
Edit: Whoopsies, forgot the no furigana part. I don’t really know any non-furigana ones since most use a little furigana for some less common words, but I think what you’re looking for in that department would be light novels, since they rarely have furigana. For that, I would recommend Utsuro no Hako if you’re looking for sci-fi and Yahari Ore no Seishun if you’re looking for something easier (though both have a bit of furigana, but that’s no big deal).
Actually, that is what I’m looking for
Less furigana would be more correct, I don’t mind some furigana on lesser used words, I want common words to not have it. At my current level I will struggle even with the common ones
But I need something to practice on, and find my furigana filled ones I can’t keep my eyes away from the furigana or hide them in any practical way, so will need a few mangas to practice on, even if I can’t fully read them in a while. I do know the meaning of more kanji than I know the actual reading of, so I’m able to understand some of it even if I don’t know how it is read yet, and going back to read it again later after doing more levels here will help me see the improvement so I’d rather get some now, probably not too many at first and do more later.
I couldn’t find the Qualia series. Found the third book in Japanese at a stiff price, nothing else (though I saw when googeling to look at some images that there should be an English version, unless it was a scanlation)
Yeah, reading enjoyment is absolutely the most important =)
Which is why I listed my favorite series as a guide to what I already enjoy reading =^_^=
宮崎駿「風の谷のナウシカ」
Hayao Miyazaki’s Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind is available on Amazon in both English [1] and Japanese [2] with furigana included for difficult words only.
I wouldn’t necessarily say this is an easy manga, however with the English version available it should be simple enough to follow and insightful of cultural differences of the time to compare the translation.
There is also parallel texts. Tofugu reviewed one [3] a while ago, you might want to check that out, however it is intended for advanced learners only.
That one looked very interesting! I already have the other books they refer to in the description, and do like that concept, and as they mention the stories aren’t that great in those but these are supposedly better, so yeah, grabbed that
As for Nausica, I’ve seen the movie of it and didn’t like it much. But I’ve seen them in my local manga shop, so it’s nice to have some suggestions that are easier to find =^_^=
I’ll make a list of the suggestions made that I didn’t buy as well, and put it on it =)
