así con el español, el interes va y viene en oleadas
what would the journey be without a few lows?
Yeah, I did something similar at the end of the year. Just parked for over a month and worked on getting my daily review load down to a manageable level before going into the new year and next block of levels. It was taking up all of my free time every day before that.
What an amazing speed on the end ! Congrats this is really impressive. I’m about to enter the final rush too. Hope i don’t burn out to quickly

You did great! Even with two kids, your chart is amazingly consistent. As a fellow graduate who has a useless piece of paper stating she’s an expert in Japanese whilst having wasted her university years and having embarrassingly stayed at N3 level forever, I totally feel you. We will get there! Congratulations! How do you feel? What are your next steps?
It feels like a weight off to be at 60 and watching the daily review load drop substantially. I still have many months till everything is burned, but the numbers are moving that way noticeably. My next step is leaning into reading. I was already doing Japanese shows and anime with subtitles, but now I’ve finally got time with the reduced review load to add Japanese novels to the mix as well and trying to do more output practice. My comfort level is easily at the highest it’s ever been right now, but I’m still far from where I want to be.
Something weird happened: I needed to guru 32 kanji to level up, but due to having to wait for the radicals to level up, the last couple of kanji were added just as I was reaching 31 gurued kanji, so levelling up took maybe 3 days longer than I was expecting. It’s a bummer because I don’t really use mnemonics at all so I’ve never paid much attention to radicals, plus since I kind of want to learn how to write, and since I like etymology, the way WK conflates radicals that are written differently and gives them wild names for the sake of mnemonics doesn’t work for me.
I’m not speedrunning, but I think I’m going to use custom study to add all radicals from the get go this time.
Also, lesson 29 has 35 kanji. Out of those, there are:
I wonder whether it’s a good idea to just add the 11 ones I already “know”. All levels since about 13 or so have had this ratio of already known to new for me, so I wonder whether I’ve been wasting my time. Kanji-wise I don’t think the extra reviews would be a problem, but I’m worry about the vocabulary getting unmanageable. I did crash after trying to speedrun levels 5, 6 and 7, but any crashes after that have been due to personal issues, not anything related to the materials themselves.
Yay!! I hope things go great with the novels!!!
Welp… I just saw my start date there
( Currently lvl 15 but a lot of resets / breaks )
