Does the review time change between levels?

I only just started using WaniKani and thought I understood the review sytem after reading about it in the FAQ and forums. But now that I got to level 3 I noticed the wait time from apprentice 4 to guru for the radicals is significantly longer than 24 hours while in the first levels I believe this was 22 hours.

For reference I could do both radicals and kanji from lesson to guru in around 4 days for the first two levels while I still need 24 more hours to unlock kanji for level 3 while still doing reviews a few times a day.

So may question is basicly the title: β€˜does the review change between levels?’

The first two levels were accelerated; from lvl 3 onwards the normal times apply

Only for the first levels:

For Level 1 & 2 the SRS timings are accelerated for the Apprentice stage.

Apprentice 1 β†’ 2 hours β†’ Apprentice 2
Apprentice 2 β†’ 4 hours β†’ Apprentice 3
Apprentice 3 β†’ 8 hours β†’ Apprentice 4
Apprentice 4 β†’ 1 day β†’ Guru 1

Here are the normal stages:

Also, there’s an hour grace period for longer intervals so the 1 day for A3 to A4 is actually 23 hours.
