I meant, that we haven’t already tried it. Surely we’ve tried every possible permutation of every reasonable idea we’ve had, by now.
That’s why I’m unconvinced about the book cipher being the way to crack B3
In case you haven’t noticed, we’ve already solved it:
OH this makes so much sense. I was confizzled as to what they were talking about…but now it makes sense. They don’t know that we know what we didn’t know, but of course, now they know, you know?
I can’t help but be reminded of this stuff when I hear about thePit Kanji Reading Mnemonic
And for fun, this related excellent song [spoiler]Tip Eht Fo Mottob - YouTube from an all around excellent album
BIG CONGRATS!!!
Yeah, I finally scrolled to that post by @FlamySerpent.
I’m going on 6 hours of sleep in 48, guys…sorry if I’m a little punch drunk…
If this is true (which probably isn’t) we are far from being 60 people…
You have to consider time zones though. There are a lot of people that are currently asleep.
I’m really relieved that we’re now on B4. I’ve read the clue text, haven’t got time to read all the posts on it so far. Will stop by later on to see if there’s anything I can contribute to the solution this time.
So tired…so much work to do…
Also:
It took us more than a month to solve B3. How long will it take us to solve B4?
- 40 days and 40 nights…just like Lent
- we shall descend in 3 days as foretold in the Book of Durt
- 30 seconds. Just give @FlamySerpent another script to play with
- mmm…hard to say…depends if we can read @koichi’s mind this time.
- how about infinity? Infinity is good.
- the half-life of an average durtle, however long that is

In Kanji Kentei, "Level 2 just adds the 284 kanji used in names. " - If we want to keep this new name levels theory going.
So for Kanji Kentei test, level 9 has 240 kanjis… we are taller… so with 60 is enough… Level 10 is 80 thought… but maybe 60 levels is enough for us… so level 9 in Wanikani?
Level 9 what?
WaniKani / Kanji / 験 This is a new mnemonic, right? Does it mean anything?
Haha! Yes, that is a new one!
Not sure if it means anything though, as so many got revamped. But that was a fun one!
It’s the only mnemonic I have ever known for that kanji…
eGoooott turtle.
Just sayin’
I-I’ll egoooott your Turtle!
…wish I could take a serious look at the next puzzle, but the schools are closed due to extreme cold today, so I’ll have to wait a few more hours…
To be more precise, he gave us a hint before 5500, and told us he’d answer questions after 5500. So it wasn’t that he just gave us his hint early - he actually said he’d post again.
I travelled to B3, and all I got was this stupid eGoooott.
Honestly, I’m still irritated by eGoooott. Getting Mrs Chou early on was a random guess, but eGoooott we managed to derive by following the clues, but then rejected it because it wasn’t a word. Like, seriously - I had the four keywords listed in post 5187 but it took us almost five hundred more posts to get the password, in post 5642. And we spent most of those five hundred posts trying to work out what we’d done wrong with the book cipher to wind up with eGoooott instead of a proper word - and even those who were trying eGoooott in the password box anyway were getting nowhere, because (a) literally nothing suggests it should be in 4-3-1-2 order, and (b) why is “eGoooott” capitalised but not “turtle”?
I tried to add you to the list of contributions, but we’re out of tags for that post…
Do you happen to remember how Koichi’s name is actually spelt in kanji?
30 second for @FlamySerpent to solve it with a script, but 40 days and 40 nights to work out which script to use.
