Does it mess up if you use the Google Japanese Keyboard?

It isn’t practical. I need to be able to write in 3 languages (Portuguese, English and Japanese). The google keyboard allows to change between the Kana keyboard and the Qwerty one but not between languages.
As you can see, there’s the button “JA” (for Japanese) where I can automatically change languages.
I appreciate you trying to help though ^^ Means a lot.
I don’t know if it differs with Android versions, but on my phone (using the Google keyboards) I have both a button that looks like a globe on the keyboard (or long pressing the space key) and a notification tray option to switch keyboards.

This is how the Google keyboard in the Android version looks like. Is it different from yours? :o
Didn’t find any button with a globe in it. I can change back to the Samsung keyboard by long pressing the space key. However, then to get back to the Google one I would have to go back to the definitions blah blah blah.
I haven’t tried using this one to do the reviews yet but I will try it in my next one (in 2h) 
I have three ways to change keyboards. The globe, long pressing space, and the keyboard icon in the notification tray.

=> Long pressing space doesn’t really work for the reason that I’ve explained above.
=> I don’t get any keyboard icon =/
=> No globe. The button that’s substituting the globe icon seems to work like the shift in computers… what it does is that it makes for example the や particle go to ゃ and vice-versa.
I checked everything above after reinstalling the app… So it’s not an update problem.
Have you tried the Google keyboard rather than the Samsung one? I use the Google keyboard for both.

Correct. The globe will appear if you have multiple Google keyboards.

Maybe you can find the settings to enable the flick style input? On Google keyboard I could use both style by changing through settings as below

Tried and worked! Yay! Also, tested the Google keyboard on the WK Android app and I don’t have that first problem anymore! The switching between languages is better on the Samsung one but well, now I know that the Google one works (

OK. Stupid question here. I came across the option mentioned by @pulseR. I, however, have no idea what -Toggle, -Flick or -Toggle & Flick means. I just left it as is for the time being, changed other options first (I tend to get in trouble changing too much at one time… lol) Anyone wish to explain the differences to me? Thanks in advance. Toggle means that when you press it it will cycle through the hiragana. Flick means that button will pop up that little box that will allow you to go up, down, left, or right to choose your hiragana.
just as @alexbeldan explained! for toggle & flick means both ways can be used in the same keyboard.
for example if you wanna type こ you could swipe down (flick) OR tap 5 times (toggle) with the same keyboard.
hopefully that is understandable though.

I also install Google keyboard for EN and TH, because Samsung keyboard doesn’t allow switch to-and-from Google JP keyboard.
And Google EN/TH keyboard is a separate app from Google JP keyboard.
If I recall correctly, Google Chinese keyboard is also a separate app.
I still use QWERTY layout for Google JP keyboard, though; but I don’t write Romaji the same way as how I type QWERTY JP layout. Mainly,
- Two keypresses for everything including SI (し) and TI (ち). Of course, except for あいうえお.
- Three keypresses for しゃ、ちゃ, but I insisted on making the second keypress (Y), so ちゃ becomes TYA and しゃ becomes SYA.
- I type JYA for じゃ, though. So, I didn’t really follow Nihon-shiki romanization.
- I tried to remember special combinations, such as FE (ふぇ), THI (てぃ), QO (くぉ).
Thinking again Romaji isn’t that bad. It may be helpful for learning Conversational Japanese, and Japanese is more speaking than writing, after all. So, you can learn grammar in Romaji.
I’ve been using this app for quite some time, but recently the Wanikani Improve (skip to the next question if correct) function hasn’t been working for me. As soon as I get an answer wrong it stops working.
Has anyone encountered this problem too?

It sadly turns me off from doing my reviews on mobile…
Quick question: ignore is not working for me, was this fixed in the app and the problem is on my end, or is it normal for it not to work currently?

Same here, it actually takes a lot of extra time to click ‘enter’ again haha
It seems to work for me until I get a wrong answer. Then I have to reboot the app if I want to enable it. The app hasn’t updated (has it?) so maybe it’s something with wk itself.
