I just wanted to close out this post as I had always intended to report back once we had a solution. We no longer store individual review data and I have updated the api documentation to reflect this. Hopefully the introduction of first class heat-map and statistic widgets that you can now add to your dashboard using the customise dashboard functionality goes some way to replace the functionality you lost when we changed the data returned from the API.
