Accompanying Apps/Sites?

“Konnichiwa!”

New user here from Texas; just wondering if there is an official or sponsored app to use with WaniKani? WaniKani is fantastic so far, but wanted to know what the long-time users have also tried and liked.

“Arrigatto!”

To the best of my knowledge, there are no “official” apps

This page has sooo many resources, including unofficial apps listed. And here’s a quick plug for KaniWani - it’s compliments WaniKani perfectly

I use and quite like the WK for WaniKani app on android

I tried it and didn’t like it. For some reason I had to enter “tyu” instead of “cyu” to get ちゅ. If I enter “cyu” I always get しゅ instead.

Oh, that’s interesting. I haven’t had that happen that I’ve noticed. Thanks for the heads up

It’s not official but Tsurukame is awesome for on the go WaniKani-ing! And it lets you do offline reviews too.

There is an official WaniKani app in development for iOS and Android, however it won’t be publicly available probably for quite a few months.

I use “chu”, though I couldn’t say whether that works in the app. I’ve always found Kunrei-shiki to be not very intuitive…

It does work

First time I see this way of writing ちゅ. I usually write “chu” myself since I find it faster to type that

ち+ゅ=ちゅ
chi + yu = cyu
ち+ふ=ちふ
chi + fu = chifu

Hi! Welcome to WK :wave:t2:

I use Firefox on android for learning lessons if i want to use the reorder script (to learn radical & kanji first)
