- 141 reviews on WaniKani
- 17 lessons on WaniKani
- 60 reviews on Bunpro
- 3 lessons on Bunpro
- 1 lesson on Duolingo
- Misc: Xenoblade X something something once again xdd
And yep, 17 lessons today because I’m halfway through Level 30 and just wanted to get all kanji out of the way, should get to level 31 next week ^^
The post-N3 pause on Bunpro is real, because today I passed myself a few grammars thinking “my answer wasn’t that far off, it’s a valid synonym, right?”, that I probably shouldn’t be doing, but I’m trying to balance the overwhelm xddd
But yeah, WaniKani reviews went pretty smooth today and I will be very sad when WaniKani goes down tomorrow at 10PM of my local time xdd
I probably won’t even notice, but I’ll have 215 reviews tomorrow (including some burns) and 65 Bunpros and might start doing the reviews a bit early, like 10:30pm, today’s review took 55 minutes across all services.
Sooo, life today, I finally sat down and got to journaling and you’ve gotta love it when you stop rushing and you go like “okay, are we still moving in the right direction? how we feelin today?”, and the hand keeps going like “NOT GREAT CAPTAIN. WE SHOULD PIVOT” and then you go like “whoa whoa whoa” xddd
there definitely was waaay less kindness involved than I should be having towards myself and I’m feeling definitely lost in some regards, but I’m glad I went through the “underjournaled” part to the “moderately journaled, time to come up with action items” part of the journaling and I started grieving what-could’ve-beens and thinking about things on a bike today, had a tasty focaccia and a decaf coffee, so here’s hoping that I’m on the path to realignment, even though I really crave for like, no human beings, silence, back at home, another fifty hours with Xenoblade X, presumably over the course of a single week xdddd
In terms of Xenoblade X, got my skell license today and did the first quests for the new characters in remake: you can very easily tell which scenes are original and which have been added in the Definitive Edition because:
- the new scenes are much more cinematic and pack a stronger punch
- the new scenes are muuuuch longer (ehhh, why did I set it to German xdd)
- the new scenes allow for less player dialogue choice, sometimes not giving a prompt to make a reaction, sometimes giving only one prompt despite showing the choice modal regardless xddd
Now I need to intensively survey one of the regions (the desert - Oblivia) in order to hit the research criteria for unlocking the next story chapter, but that’s the fun bit, I think this is one of the few games, alongside things like WaniKani and Balatro, that make grinding fun xddd
Roadmap for (not) being able to rest (at all) next week:
- taking a train to Düsseldorf for a FFVII Rebirth concert with a friend on Tuesday, Wednesday and early Thursday ^^
- ContraPoints will drop a new video somewhere next week and of course I’ll binge it as early as it comes out
- having a dinner at a Taiwanese place with book swap friends next Thursday evening
- my salary will go through, so it’ll be my time to plan the US trip at the end of April
- pub quiz on Sunday
- probably bouldering on Saturday
- 銀の匙 book club, 葬送のフリーレン book club probably
- i’m slowly realizing that the Switch 2 direct is coming out really soon, so I’ll definitely will be coming up with all sorts of theories for then xdd
See you tomorrow!
